Christmas in Florida

The “boys” got a little crazy on Christmas Day. Sad to say “2 hour delivery” was not available on Christmas Day. Unable to find a Santa suit to wear while water skiing around Lake Berry, they resorted to squeezing themselves into Ella’s Olaf the snowman suit. You need to understand:  Ella is 10, and she is about 5’3″ tall. True, the suit was very roomy on her frame, but still, when you stretch it on to the frames of a couple of 30-something men, it’s going to be a squeeze. Somehow her 6’4″ managed to don said garment over a wetsuit before skiing. The other skier was under 6′, so he did the initial run.

It might be a good plan to purchase an adult sized Santa suit and Buddy the Elf in the after Christmas clearance rush and put it away for next year’s joyful insanity.

  • Perennial Wisdom
As I press on my journey, I find myself caught between not fitting comfortably into a given tradition and feeling connected to many traditions. • Connections
Today’s “aha!”comes from a January reflection from CAC …One of the most familiar of Jesus’ teachings is “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31, Matthew 22:39). But we almost always hear that wrong: “Love your neighbor as much as yourself.” (And of course, the next logical question then becomes, “But I have to love me first, don’t […]
