Let those who have ears…

I admit that I struggle with "the Church" and with the apparent ideologies of parts of the church that I deal with... like the Cursillo Movement. I admit that I struggle to be inclusive, to remember and love these entities that I struggle with, even when we diverge on...

Cultural Appropriation – Really?

I was reading a piece in the Washington Post concerning "Cultural Appropriation." The whole thing struck me as absurd, so my next step is to research this term and what it means to folks. From Wikipedia (via Google): Cultural appropriation is the adoption or use of...

Fall in New England

We spent a long weekend in Westerly, RI visiting my husband's family. Now that is what Fall should be like... frost in the morning, cool, clear beautiful days, and trees beginning to burst out in fiery colors. At home it was in the 80's. In New England it was in the...

Welcome Luke

Luke showed up yesterday. He weighed in at a healthy 8lb 9oz and is doing very well. I got to hold him for a while, which is one of the most pleasant of my recent experiences. I pray that this child will be healthy, happy, safe, gentle and kind. I pray for him to...
